Who Is Bob?

Bob Adkins is an American. Born into poverty in Rock City, West Virginia, his family consisted of 10 children: 5 girls and 5 boys, including Bob. His father died when he was 8 years old while the family was in northern Florida. This left many hungry mouths to feed, and the children were sent out to work for farmers every day before school began. He attended school up to the 8th grade (but later received his diploma at the age of 48). The family lived in what was once a one-room schoolhouse and they often had to find their meals by trapping and hunting in the surrounding woods and bogs.

When his country drafted him, Bob went into the U.S. Army A-CO 1-505 Infantry. He did his basic training at Fort Polk Louisiana. He continued his training in jump school at Fort Benning, Georgia. From there he was sent to Vietnam attached to the 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile. He served as a radio operator and was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor. After seeing enough of what war can do, he came home to the country he loved, and the woman he adored. In 1968 he married the love of his life: Carol Jean, and they had two children, a boy and a girl.

Bob Adkins has been a resident of Saint Cloud, Florida since 1963, and he is the owner of Cody Construction. Through his work he has maintained a strong work ethic. He has had a long record of fighting for the Rights of the American Citizens. His former political races have included the positions of County Commissioner (twice) and Governor for the State of Florida (twice). Bob Adkins has never been one to back down from a fight, and each fight that faces him seems to only make him more determined to bring the power of your government back into the hands of the Citizens.

Bob believes that your vote is the most powerful weapon on earth, for by it you decide the future of this country, and the world!

The Line

Why Bob?

The United States Constitution states that the qualifications for President shall be:

"a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

Notice that it does not say that the person must be a millionaire with connections. Nor does it say that the person be affiliated with a 2-party system. Instead, it only states that the qualifications to be President of the United States of America are only:

             1. That the person be a natural born Citizen.

             2. That the person be at least 35 years of age.

             3. That the person be a resident of the United States of America for at least 14 years.

However, the heart of the matter is not who CAN run for the Office of President, but who HAS run for that office. With each Presidency that passes we see so much that was wrong. It may be in the election process itself (please see Not Again) or it may be the parties and political favoritism that pervades Capitol Hill. These mistakes that Presidents and their Cabinets make slowly strip away the Constitutional Rights and Powers that our Forefathers fought so hard to give us. Should we hand these rights over? Or should we take control of our government once again and make it "of the people, by the people, for the people..."?

For over fifty years we have had Presidents whom lived lives beyond the reach of the average Citizen. They were either raised in the lap of luxury and surrounded by wealth and influence, or they were blinded by corporate greed and political platforms that they lost sight of the people they were elected to serve: us, you and I. We are the Citizens of this country, and we are the ones that they should serve. Yet they don't serve - they rule. We need a Citizen to serve Citizens. We need a working person to serve the working class. We need a man who doesn't look down on America from a party platform, but a person who looks to the Citizens he serves. We need a new kind of person in office: we need Bob Adkins For President!

Bob Adkins for President 2016, A Statement

I, Bob Adkins, have a dream of an honest and prosperous America where we are not controlled by a corrupt Government.

I want one nation under God indivisible and justice for all.

I want a government controlled by the vote off the people.

I want my representative to be put in office by the vote of the people and not a computer controlled by someone else. I want to dissolve the two party system and put in place a system as good or better than Bob's Way Ballot.

I want to put in place a tax where each representative gets the same media exposure as the other ones. The tax will pay for each representative to express his or her's views with equal time. Each county can elect a representative to run for state or federal office. There will be no donations allowed to the candidate and this in turn will help stop the corruption in our government from county, state and federal government. The tax will have to be put on the ballot and voted in place by the people.

In 1974 I filed some liens on property that owed me a large sum of money; I was pretty well blackballed from doing business in this county. Not only did I not get paid by this company but I did not get paid from anyone. The bank turned against me and took back a loan that I had borrowed to pay my equipment payments and men with. I hired a lawyer, he filed all my paperwork wrong and I have never received one cent. The banker called before he died and apologized to me for his part in destroying my business and our family's lives and for all these years that we did not deserve what they had done to us. The lawyer went to work for the county and worked there for years.

Our system of government is corrupt and it is not all the fault of the politicians. Most of the blame lies on the American people for not standing up and taking charge of their country. There are a lot of good men and women with great ideals in our government who cannot bring them to light because of the corruption in our nation. The American people are divided by a two-party system that keeps us bickering at one another and the corrupt government does what it wants. If the American people would come together as one nation under God we would be able to elect an honest candidate that would not only change America, but the world would follow suit. Your vote is the most powerful weapon in the world because it puts in place the men and women that make the world we live in...if it is counted.

I need the American people to stand up with me and start a revolution to change the way our representatives are elected. It will be a revolution without guns but using the power of the American people's vote.

I'm setting up a banking account for a war chest to help me get out to speak to each and every one of you. If the American people would stand behind me and help me this will be the last bank account set up to help a man or woman running for office. May God open your eyes to see that America and the World needs you to stand up for this County and bring about a position change.
